I gave this office 3 stars because the staff was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. They were able to see me even without an appointment, and the dentist herself was very sweet. The reason for my rating is the pricing. I was quoted $585 just for bonding a chipped front tooth. I was also told I had a cavity that required a crown and that my other front tooth should receive a crown because of its position. I was advised it would make more sense to go with the crown so they could try to run it through insurance, but my out-of-pocket cost would have been over $1,600. Wanting a second opinion, I went to another dentist who did an excellent job, billed my insurance, and I paid only $95 out of pocket. There was also no mention of the cavity, as I was just looking for a temporary fix until I return overseas to look into it further. While I really appreciated the great customer service and the doctor’s care, I personally found the pricing to be excessive compared to what I ended up paying elsewhere. From the first time visiting the office, the overall experience was nothing like I expected—in the best way possible. From scheduling the appointment to arriving at the state-of-the-art facility, everything was smooth and professional. The receptionists were welcoming, helpful, and supportive throughout the process. The dentist was extremely knowledgeable, took the time to assess my situation carefully, and provided a clear solution to my problem. Overall, I am very satisfied with my decision to choose Jersey City Dental and would highly recommend them.

Went for my first cleaning today with Dr Charley. I couldn’t have been happier. The office is super transparent and sat with me someone who laid out insurance coverage and cost for additional work!

I strongly caution anyone considering this office. My experience was marked by a consistent lack of professionalism, poor communication, and what felt like deliberate lack of communication around costs. I scheduled a root canal consultation and 3D scan over the phone, provided my insurance information, and was asked to arrive 20 minutes early to discuss details. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were visibly distracted — chatting and laughing among themselves — and barely acknowledged me. I had to stand up multiple times to ensure I hadn't been forgotten. No one communicated an estimated wait time, and after 40 minutes, someone finally brought me to the back. Dr. Higgins briefly examined my mouth and recommended a 3D scan. I asked about the cost before proceeding — both he and the assisting nurse failed to answer. After the scan, I was placed in a treatment room where a staff member, Sandy, presented me with a tablet to sign for nearly $2,000 in charges — without Dr. Higgins having reviewed the scan with me or discussed any treatment plan. When I expressed concern and asked to speak with the doctor, Sandy appeared annoyed but left to retrieve him — only to return alone and hand me

I went for my 6 month cleaning and as ALWAYS, Jessica the dental hygienist was amazing! So detailed and careful, gentle hands, my teeth come out pearly! Then Dr Paek always caring for how I feel and attentive to the condition of my teeth. He’s the best! Can’t leave out my girls at the front desk, they rock! Love their reception, always smiling and professional. Great team! Love this place
